About – Help Nation India

Help Nation India is a non-profit, food rescue organization from Surat that bridges the gap between hunger and excess food. Started in July 2022 under the leadership of Shitanshu Kapadia, we aim to eliminate hunger, malnutrition and food wastage, many meals at a time.

The way our NGO functions is simple. We pick up excess food from hotels, weddings, events, cafeterias, housing societies and deliver it to thousands of hungry people who live in slums or on the footpath. We serve beneficiaries which primarily include children and also others who are most in need. Other than that, we distribute freshly cooked food to our regular beneficiaries. The NGO has dedicated helplines where we can be reached and our volunteer pick up the excess food and redistribute it promptly, thus ensuring that the quality of the food remains intact.
